We’ve all seen videos like Thunder Busters and Sad But Superstitious but it takes a ton of painstaking, tedious work to mash songs together in a way that doesn’t sound terrible. Until now.

The power of Mixtape over other apps like ACID Pro or Pro Tools is that Mixtape is intended for one sole purpose which is mashing together tunes. This singularity of focus makes it easier to use and overcome the learning curve. Mixtape is also much more affordable than other most other apps on the market. One of the features that makes Mixtape so convenient is beat mapping. Simply select the master track and the tracks snap to match the beat mapping of the master track. The he composition browser lets you easily import all the tracks that you want to mash together and Mixtape will analyze the track and show you the beats per minute and the difference from the master track. This lets you easily match like-tempo tracks. Another cool feature is automix which will take the track and blend it into your composition automatically.
Having removed much of the technical minutia from the process of creating mashups the only thing left to do is unleash your inner Girl Talk on your library. This app is so much fun to use I can’t say enough great things about it!
